Mweiga, Kieni Project

Mweiga, Kieni Project

We successfully undertook a borehole drilling project in Mweiga, Kieni, to provide a sustainable water source for the land owner. The project aimed to address water scarcity and support domestic and agricultural activity within the farm. It involved a comprehensive site assessment and hydrogeological survey to determine the best drilling location, followed by high-powered drilling to reach the underground aquifer.

To ensure stability and prevent contamination, casing and gravel packing were installed, and water yield testing was conducted to evaluate the borehole’s capacity. The borehole is strategically positioned to serve nearby homes, farms, and institutions while adhering to strict environmental and safety standards.

The project utilized advanced technology for efficiency and precision, resulting in a significant water supply that enhances accessibility, boosts local agriculture, and reduces reliance on costly water alternatives. Additionally, there is potential for integrating solar-powered pumping to ensure sustainability and minimize energy costs. This project stands as a testament to River Best Kenya’s commitment to delivering reliable and long-term water solutions to communities in need.
